Minnesota Motorcars was founded by, is owned by, and is staffed by husband and wife partners, Pat Cattarin and Carol Walls. Our only additional full time staff consists of Honey and Buddy, brother and sister Australian Shepherds.
When you visit us, here in Litchfield, MN, one or both of them will most likely be the first to greet you. After that proper welcome, Pat and/or Carol will do their best to help and assist you with all of your automotive needs and desires. When you deal with Minnesota Motorcars you are always dealing directly with one of the founder owners. We do not employ a sales staff, thus avoiding the games and frustrations experienced at conventional dealerships, today.
Pat and Carol lived and worked in the Palm Springs area of California, for 20 years. Pat is a native Californian with a real passion for cars and airplanes. His childhood weekends were spent at the local airport helping his father maintain their small airplane and learning to fly. Pat’s first job, over 40 years ago, was pumping gas and working as a mechanic in a full service “gas station” in Burbank, CA. Pat and two business partners founded, owned, and operated California Pools of the Coachella Valley for 20 years. Carol was born and raised on her parents’ dairy farm, in Darwin, MN (the “Twine Ball Capitol” of Minnesota), just 7 miles from the Minnesota Motorcars dealership, in Litchfield. Carol spent many years working as a licensed CPA in both Minnesota and California. After her accounting career, Carol purchased her own business in California, a custom upholstery, cushion manufacturing, and custom sewing facility. Thirteen years ago Carol and Pat decided that it was time to move back home to Minnesota to be closer to Carol’s very large extended family. Pat and Carol sold all of their business interests and properties in California and made the move to the Midwest.
After moving to Minnesota, Carol’s and Pat’s days have been filled overseeing their small farming operation, developing some residential real estate, spending time with all the relatives, and doing a bit of organic gardening. Pat has also kept busy for the past 12 years working as a contract corporate pilot flying small jets with big engines and Carol has become an avid bridge player.
Pat and Carol started Minnesota Motorcars with the idea in mind that helping others find and purchase the ideal car, truck, classic, or collectible should result in a wonderfully pleasant buying experience. Our clients are the smartest buyers around and choose to avoid the standard car dealership “games” and “frustrations”, all the while saving time, money, and having fun in the process.
